EmoTalks, Inc. ("EmoTalks", "we", "our") operates the EmoTalks platform — an AI-powered social application for authentic self-expression and meaningful human connection. We are incorporated in the United States via Stripe Atlas.

2.1 Account Information
- Email address (required for account creation)
- Display name and optional profile picture
- Authentication provider data (if you sign in via Google, Apple, or similar)
2.2 Content You Create
- Perspectives, posts, and topics you share on the platform
- EMO reactions and resonance signals you send or receive
- Direct messages (end-to-end encrypted between matched users)
2.3 Usage & Interaction Data
- Pages visited, features used, and time spent in the app
- Device type, operating system, and browser information
- IP address and approximate geographic region
- Crash reports and performance diagnostics
2.4 AI Model Inputs
To power our recommendation engine and emotional resonance matching, content you post may be processed by our AI models (hosted on AWS infrastructure). We do not use your content to train third-party foundational models without your explicit opt-in consent.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Platform functionality — delivering the core EmoTalks experience
- AI-powered matching — computing resonance scores and surfacing compatible users
- EmoPoints — calculating your social credibility score (non-monetary)
- Safety & moderation — detecting abuse, spam, and policy violations
- Product improvement — understanding how features are used in aggregate
- Communications — sending transactional emails (waitlist updates, security alerts)
We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or third parties.
4. Data Sharing
We share data only in these limited circumstances:
- Infrastructure providers — AWS (hosting, AI inference), Stripe (payments if applicable)
- Analytics — anonymised, aggregated usage data with analytics tools
- Legal obligations — when required by applicable law or valid legal process
- Business transfers — in the event of a merger or acquisition (you will be notified)
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate safety purposes.

8. Children
EmoTalks is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us immediately at privacy@emotalks.com.
9. International Transfers
EmoTalks is incorporated in the United States. If you access the platform from outside the US, your data may be transferred to and processed in the US. We apply appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable) for international data transfers.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after changes constitute acceptance.
